God's word for January 19, 2012

Losing a loved one is hard. You cannot take away the hurt and pain one must feel. You may be feeling so many different emotions yourself. Losing someone effects many. You never know how much just listening and being there for someone can help.

I believe in showing Christ's love is the best thing you can do. I have a few scriptures memorized but I would like to memorize more and especially those pertaining to loss.

"Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep." Romans 12:15, is a great start to my journey. My life isn't about me and I must say "no" to my flesh daily. I am imperfect but everyday God is changing me. I want to make my heavenly father rejoice and bring a smile to Jesus even when his heart is breaking. Sometimes, it is best to just listen and show love rather than argue about things you may disagree on. Pray for God's help and healing touch. Lord, let me show your love, grace and mercy onto others. Let me live the legacy that you would like me too. I want to be a blessing onto others. Thank you for your word and guidance everyday.

  1. I know exactly what you mean. Loss is so hard. I have experienced the loss of a an amazing friend (husband to one of my dearest friends) this past May. I would never have been able to make it through this hard time of supporting her and his family....without the grace and comfort of God. Thanks for sharing this!
