Why Me?

Due to some things going on in my life; I have caught myself asking Why Me? Why Me?, I am good person. Why me? I try my very best to love my fellow neighbor, take care of my family and be a blessing to the down trodden and weary. I take the time to encourage others. I am feeling hurt, anger, sadness, judgement, insecurity and some depression thrown in and those are just a few of the emotions I can name right now. But then God speaks to me and tells me to look at his son whom never did anything wrong and loved and cared for others including the people that hated him and look how he was treated. "But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed." Isaiah 53:5 This selfless act Jesus completed so that we could be free from sin. I need to look at it as Why Not Me! "And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

God does not create accidents and sometimes there is rain!  "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens" Ecclesiastes 3:1 He does everything with purpose, perfect timing and concise precision. Everything happens for a reason and when I pray I need to pray onto his will not my own. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,"  "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9
God is teaching me exactly what I need to know and I will trust him and keep on following Jesus through this storm and praise him along the way. God has never steered me wrong!  "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19 and my faith will only grow.  "For we live by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7

Lord thank you for this season of rain! I know that you are working out things that need to be worked out and I trust you. I lay everything I am feeling at your feet. You are molding me and making me new and I will rise above with you as my ultimate strength in Jesus name Amen!

All natural a New Religion?

I believe in moderation of everything and I also believe it is easy to get caught up in doing and perhaps overdoing one ideal. This has been placed on my heart and I found a great article discussing how The All Natural food movement can become a god. http://awomanswalk.blogspot.com/2012/05/is-your-quest-for-real-food-becoming.html. I think it is a great articles with valid points on how far is too far and how it is important to ask for God's blessing over your food.

Romans 14:1-23

As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. ...

Luke 12:23

For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.

Mark 14:23

And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it.

Colossians 2:16-22

Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God. If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you
 submit to regulations— ...

Isaiah 55:2

Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.

John 6:27

Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.”
